We need to create real market places for R&D activities outside the university laboratories and research centers for more interaction with the industrial sector. The MIA competition is a first-of-a-kind program on a pan-Arab level that will create such possibilities. Not only will it help university students and researchers to market their findings and develop their entrepreneurial skills, but it will also create awareness of and build trust in the ability of Arab technology experts to answer local technological and development challenges

Dr. Abdalla A. Alnajjar

President, Arab Science & Technology Foundation (ASTF)
Experts
The MIA program aims to effectively support the competition participants to be the technology entrepreneurs of tomorrow, who shall be able to lead the economic development of the Arab countries through technology commercialization and job and wealth creation.

However, we believe that it’s not enough to provide a complete set of training in business, technical and soft skills aspects, but having an open channel with experts in these areas playing a coaching and guiding role to the participants will greatly maximize the effectiveness of this program.

For that, if you are an expert in these areas, we kindly ask you to share your knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm for economic development in the Arab World with the competition participants by logging in to the MIA forum.

And we believe that the synergy created through this forum collaboration will enable effective partnerships in technology development and scientific practical research among the participants with focus on developing strong economies in the Arab World based on science and technology.
